Ubis workers reacted, simultaneously and jointly in Germany, Romania, in Austria and Italy, to the decision of the Management to outsource the “ Cards” sectors.
In these countries, impacted by “Cards” outsourcing , demonstrations took place, expressing opposition to the operation, using the tools that labor law provides, different in each country affected by that deal.
In Italy Trade Unions organized UBIS national strike , with considerable adherence rates. Demonstrations were held In Milan at the Headquarters of the UniCredit Group and in Palermo.
In Germany, Austria and Romania, where the reasons to call a strike are limited by law, Trade Unions organized different ways to demonstrate and aggregate workers.
Our protest was also granted great attention by Uni Global Union, the International Trade Union for Finance and Services, who supported our protest with the message you can find at the following address:

This difficult scenario in the European banking sector and in particular in UniCredit Group, demands a clear and cohesive answer: the Solidarity and awareness that we have the only one single common aim , the protection of workers and the respect of their work. Only in this way we will cope with the short term politics of the Group.
The Trade Union Alliance declares what has already been expressed by the European Works Council of UniCredit: the international dimension of the Group must be maintained , the stability of the perimeters, companies and employment levels must be confirmed. T.U.A and E.W.C refuses any transfer and / or outsourcing of activities
United we stand.
